The aim of this series, co-sponsored by SAGES, SSO, SSAT, and the American Cancer Society, is to highlight and promote the optimal surgical care and quality of life for patients with GI and endocrine cancers. Topics covered will include prevention and detection, the challenges with screening and delayed diagnoses during the time of Covid, the status and optimal performance of cancer surgery as well as future directions in the care of cancer patients with advanced technologies. Patient quality of life and the benefits, impediments, and options for minimally invasive oncologic surgery will be highlighted.
