OVERVIEW
Development firms are invited to submit a proposal, in accordance with the linked Request for Proposal (RFP), to the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) for an automated system to deliver and score SAGES FLS Skills exam without a test proctor.
The FLS exam was designed for surgical residents, fellows and practicing physicians to teach and measure the physiology, fundamental knowledge, and technical skills required in basic laparoscopic surgery. It is a standard component of general surgery residency training in the U.S. The high-stakes skills exam currently requires test takers to perform 5 tasks on a proprietary simulator training box at a SAGES-approved test center.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) provides interested development firms with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit proposals for consideration by SAGES. The successful proposer will provide a system that integrates with SAGES proprietary simulator training box. The integrated system will validate the test taker’s identify, assess and record test taker performance, report on and send exam data to integrated partner systems.
