Legislative Update From SAGES

Surgery State Legislative Action Center (SSLAC)

SAGES is one of the founding members of the American College of Surgeons Surgery State Legislative Action Center (SSLAC). The SSLAC is a collaborative effort of the surgical specialty societies. The purpose of the Center is to engage surgeons to become involved in the legislative process at the state level -- promoting initiatives that will enhance both quality of care and access to care for the surgical patient. The site is hosted by the College on its server. You are encouraged to visit the site and contact your state legislators regarding issues that affect the practice of surgery.

The site features a link to the Federal Action Center through which surgeons can contact Congress and the President. If you don’t think one person can make a difference, think again. The SSLAC makes it easy for you to contact state and national leaders on key issues affecting the safe and effective practice of minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy. Let your voice be heard!
